  • When using Merge Fields to perform calculations of Decimals or Numbers in an Automation Step, the result will be displayed successfully.

Enhancements

  • For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager, changes to Custom Field definitions in XPM will now synchronise to FYI every 15 minutes, except where the "Sync Custom Fields" option is set to "Off" in the Xero Practice Manager Automation app settings in FYI. 

    For practices where FYI as Primary for Client Maintenance is enabled, Custom Field definitions will synchronise within 15 minutes, however, Custom Field Values will not be synchronised and should be maintained exclusively within FYI.

    Refer to Synchronising Clients, Staff, Jobs, Time, Tax Returns with Xero Practice Manager and Synchronising with Xero Practice Manager where FYI is enabled for Primary Source of Client Data.

  • The Relative Filter option on Jobs and Clients Lists has been enhanced to allow filtering Custom Field numeric values by Greater Than or Less Than. Elite plan users can also use these filters on Invoices and Time Lists.

    Users can save and select filtered views within custom automation processes. For example, where a Clients List view is filtered by greater than on a custom number field such as "Employees", an automation process could trigger to contact only these specific clients. Refer to Sorting and Filtering Client Lists and Sorting and Filtering Jobs Lists.

  • When using the New Collaborate SharePoint site to upload files, if a client mistakenly places files in the Processed folder, all new files will be included in the upload into FYI. This will only apply to new documents, and not documents already within the Processed folder. Refer to Receiving Documents from the Upload Folder.

  • The New Collaborate Sharing Settings on the Client - Collaborate tab now displays the Options and Close buttons on the Settings tab, in addition to the Users tab. Refer to Sharing the Share Folder and Upload Folder with Clients.

  • We have introduced additional alerts to Practice Activity to provide greater details when Jobs cannot be synchronised to Xero Practice Manager successfully, for example, where a Job Due Date is dated before the Start Date. Refer to Practice Activity, and the Troubleshooting section of the Help Centre.

  • The email address displayed on the Client - Summary tab will now default to the Primary Contact's email address if a client email address has not been entered. A new icon will also appear next to the field to indicate when the Primary Contact's email is being displayed. If a Primary Contact is not selected, the email address will remain blank, and the icon will not be displayed. Refer to Client Summary.

  • For practices integrated with MYOB, we have enhanced the synchronisation of contacts from the Associates tab in MYOB. The synchronisation will compare the contact's End Date with the current date, and either remove the contact from FYI if previously synchronised or exclude the contact from synchronising at all. If the end date is a future date, the contact will continue to synchronise until this date. If a contact is deleted from the tab in MYOB, the contact will be removed from FYI. Refer to Synchronising Clients, Users and Jobs with MYOB AE & AO (Australia & New Zealand Only).

  • We have introduced a new Merge Field section for Custom Automations to enable users to select the Partner or Manager from earlier steps in the Automation process. For a list of fields available for Partners and Managers, refer to the Merge Fields Glossary.

  • For practices integrated with Zapier, the Job Name field is no longer mandatory when editing a job. If creating a new Job, the Name must still be specified or an error will be displayed within Zapier. Refer to Integration with Zapier.

  • We have made enhancements to the FYI Migrate App, to ensure that temporary files starting with "._" will be excluded from the migration. Refer to What Data is Migrated into FYI?

  • For practices using the CSV Import Beta, a new Search field has been added when testing the automation. An exact value from the selected Source CSV can be entered into the Search field to filter and select a specific row during testing. Please note that search results will be displayed depending on the "Match Clients During Validation" setting in the Automation Filter. Refer to Importing and Updating Data using the Automation Process CSV Import Filter (Beta).

For practices on the FYI Elite Plan:

  • During the Elite Onboarding WIP Import process, an alert will be displayed where the practice has a significant amount of data in FYI to prompt the practice to contact support for assistance in importing WIP. For example, where the practice has more than 100,000 clients or rates. Refer to Import Xero Practice Manager Unbilled WIP Report.

  • The WIP Import has been enhanced to support larger amounts of data, and will now automatically import WIP in batches of 100,000 rows. Refer to Import Xero Practice Manager Unbilled WIP Report.

  • When creating an invoice and selecting time entries from the Add Time window, users can now deselect any selected rows by using Ctrl+Click. Refer to Create an Invoice.

Resolutions

  • We have restored the ability to filter the Documents list by Source.
  • We have resolved an issue with the BGL synchronisation to ensure that documents are synchronised to FYI overnight successfully.
  • The New Collaborate Sharing Settings will successfully display the Client Folder Name on the Settings tab, whereas previously it continuously displayed a "Loading" message for specific clients.
  • When refreshing the views used in the Capacity Planning Report the data will not be duplicated.
  • For practices integrated with GreatSoft, when FYI and GreatSoft cannot sync due to re-authentication, an error log will display in Practice Activity. Users will need to re-authenticate the connection for syncing to resume.
  • When creating an email in FYI and selecting additional contact emails as recipients, the Contact Name will now display as the recipient in the email drawer.
  • For practices integrated with APS, a Failure event will be displayed in Practice Activity when a contact cannot be synchronised to a client in FYI. The message will display the name of the contact and a link to the client that the practice sync was attempting to synchronise to.
  • When creating a Word document from a template with merge fields DocumentCreatedDate or DocumentReferenceNumber included, the correct date or reference number will now be populated.
  • When an FYI Admin edits a User's profile, the user's Default Timesheet Status selection will remain unchanged.
  • The Create Email Automation Step will now save changes where a custom email field is selected for the recipient instead of the default client email address.
  • For practices integrated with IRIS, when synchronising clients, any Custom Fields created in FYI and the values selected on the client will remain unchanged.

For practices on the Elite Plan:

  • We have resolved an issue for practices with Workflow Jobs disabled prior to upgrading to the Elite plan, where after selecting FYI as the PM source, Standard Jobs were incorrectly converted to Billing Jobs in FYI.
