The Copy Time function allows users to easily copy time entries, where the same activity may have been completed for multiple clients during the day.
Time can be copied in the following Time lists:
- Client Workspace on the Client - Time tab.
- Job Workspace on the Job - Time tab.
- The Practice - Time tab.
Time created by Interim Invoices cannot be copied.
To copy an existing time entry:
- Click on a row in the Time List.
- Click the Copy button in the toolbar at the top.
- The Create Time drawer will be displayed, with fields populated to match the copied time entry.
The Status field will default to the status selected in the user's settings. Refer to Setting Defaults and Filing Defaults for your Own Login - My Settings
- Update the fields as required, and click Create.
- If the date of the Time entry is prior to the Period Lock Date, a message will be displayed. The Period Lock Date is configured in the Practice Invoice Settings. Time entries prior to this date can only be added or edited by an FYI Admin, or the Period Lock Date will need to be amended or removed.
The following message will be displayed for FYI Admins. Click Yes to create the time for a locked period.
Standard Users will not be able to create the time entry. Change the Date on the time entry, or contact your FYI Admin to create the time or adjust the Period Lock Date.
