StackGo IdentityCheck offers a simple and secure Identity Verification for your contacts using a Government-issued ID and a photo, ensuring a streamlined, one-click process for quick and efficient client identity verification.

Using the integration, practices will be able to:

  • Automatically trigger an email notification to a client requesting identity verification.
  • View the status of the IdentityCheck Request.
  • Automatically create File Notes for the client in FYI.
  • Import Verification Reports into FYI (optional) - Privacy and Security should be considered before enabling this option.

Connecting IdentityCheck to FYI

To connect IdentityCheck to FYI you will need to:

  1. Obtain the Access Key ID and the Access Key Secret from FYI.
  2. Add the details to IdentityCheck.
  3. Create Custom Fields in FYI.

Step 1 - Obtain the Access Key ID and the Access Key Secret from FYI

  1. From FYI, click the Automation menu option.
  2. Go to the Apps tab.
  3. Click the IdentityCheck cog icon to edit the integration.
  4. In the IdentityCheck integration panel click Create new secret. This will generate a new Access Key ID and Secret Key used to connect to FYI.
  5. The Access Key Secret will be displayed. Click the clipboard icon to copy the key and paste it to IdentityCheck or a secure location, for example, a vault.
    Important: You can only view the Secret key the first time this window is displayed. If the Key is required again, you must disconnect your integration and request a new Key before you reconnect your integration.

  6. Click Done once you have saved the Secret Key to a secure location.

  7. The Access Key ID will be displayed. Click the clipboard icon to copy and paste the information to IdentityCheck or a secure location.
    Note: For this integration, the AutoFile defaults in FYI may be disregarded.

Step 2 - Adding the FYI Access Key ID and Access Key Secret into IdentityCheck

Once you have obtained your details from FYI you can add them into IdentityCheck to connect to the two systems. 

  1. From IdentityCheck, navigate to Your Account, and click on the Integration - Manage link.

  2. Under FYI Docs click Install.

  3. If prompted, authorise the connection in FYI Docs.

  4. You will be redirected to IdentityCheck.

  5. Change the Enabled toggle to Yes.

  6. Enter the FYI Access Key ID and Secret Key ID.

  7. Click Complete.

Step 3 - Create Custom Fields in FYI

The integration relies on three Custom Fields to be created in FYI. To trigger an identity verification request, and to see the Status, you will need to ensure the Custom Fields have been created as per below.

To create a Custom Field:

  1. Log in to FYI as an FYI Admin.

  2. From FYI, click Settings in the top right-hand corner.

  3. Select Practice settings from the drop-down, then select General.

  4. Click on the Custom Fields tab.

  5. From the Custom Fields list, click Add.

  6. Enter the Custom Field Name.

  7. For Applies to select Client.

  8. Select the Type as per below.
  9. When the Type is selected as "Drop-down", you also need to enter the Options that will be available for that Custom Field as in the following example.

  10. Click Save.

Step 4 - Create a Test Instance

To ensure the integration is functional, you'll need to create/update a client in FYI with the details below. After the test client has been created, contact to finalise the integration.

  1. In FYI, click Clients from the menu.

  2. Click the Custom Fields tab.

  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. Change the settings for the fields as per below:
  5. Click Save.

  6. At the top of the page will be a link to the client's Custom Fields tab, for example, Make a note of this link.

  7. Email to confirm you have completed all of the steps above, and include the client's contact email address and the link from step 6. The team will then assist with finalising the integration.  

Using the Integration

The Custom Fields can be accessed from the Client - Custom Fields tab. Depending on the other Custom Fields enabled for the client, these fields may located in separate locations in the list. 

  1. If you have permission to edit Custom Fields, click the Edit Custom Fields icon.

  2. Change the KYC Command Custom Field to True.

  3. Click Save.

  4. An email will be triggered from IdentityCheck to begin the identity verification process.
